Five Crowns Review
Five suits makes a better card game
Five Crowns is a five-suit (Stars are added to the standard spades, clubs, hearts and diamonds) card game for 3+ players and is a great way to laugh the night away. The object of Five Crowns is to have the least amount of points after 10 rounds with the rules changing each round. The first round you get three cards with threes and jokers being wild, the second four cards with fours and jokers wild, and so on until the final round with twelve cards and Kings and Jokers wild. The way to go out is to have either a straight flush of at least three cards or a minimum of three of a kind. When the first player can go out the rest have one turn to make the best hand they can. If they cannot use all of their cards they count up the point values of the remaining cards. The final round can be the biggest change in points with twelve cards in hand and seems a bit unbalanced to have just one round be able to foil your chances to win, but overall this is a great card game for families.
